FMCG major CavinKare launches national hunt to identify India’s innovative entrepreneurial ventures

  • Takes its annual CSR property – 10thChinnikrishnan Innovation Awards 2021 – outside of the state in a quest to unearth dynamic innovators from MSME sectors

  • Announces Rs. 1,00,000 cash prize for each innovator selected for the award

New Delhi: CavinKare, an FMCG major that has stood testimony for path breaking innovations, in partnership with the Madras Management Association (MMA) is all set to scale up its annual hunt for identifying hidden entrepreneurial gems. Launching its annual CSR initiative, Chinnikrishnan Innovation Awards on a national scale, CavinKareseeks to unravel dynamic innovators in MSME sectors across the country. This year, CavinKare and MMA has also announced a cash prize of Rs. 1, 00,000for each innovator selected for the award. Open till 17th July 2021, the nomination process is totally online.

For selected winners, CKPL and MMA will extend support as mentors when required and provide mentoring support on marketing, finance, packaging, R&D and HR. Selected winners will also get direct access to the top talent in the industry for a year; support for patenting the product/services (wherever required & feasible); support for carrying out trademark, packaging, and design registration; and also facilitate interaction with banks & financial institutions.

ChinniKrishnan Innovation Awards is the brain-child of Mr. CK Ranganathan, Chairman & Managing Director – CavinKare. Over the years, this award has been instrumental in nurturing budding entrepreneurs and giving them access to the right ecosystem, to further grow their business with a keen focus on societal impact.  Since its inception in 2011, the Award is presented by CavinKare in partnership with Madras Management Association (MMA).

Having recognized over 30outstanding innovators from the state of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Chinnikrishnan Innovation Awards is one of the most recognized and sought-after awards amongst budding entrepreneurs. Instituted in commemoration of Late Shri R Chinnikrishnan, renowned for his sachet innovation, the award aims to showcase entrepreneurs who have embodied the ‘dreamer’, ‘innovator’ and ‘ideator’ qualities of the late Shri R Chinnikrishnan.

Nominations to the award can be done both online and offline. In the wake of COVID 19, CavinKare and MMA have jointly initiated a contactless nomination process by accepting applications submitted through a dedicated website.
